A gunman opened fire with a 9 millimeter handgun Friday afternon, striking a Tonawanda Street building, according to Buffalo Police reports. No injuries were reported.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. near Roesch Avenue and Tonawanda Street.
The shooter is described as a black male in his 30s wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, jeans and a beige baseball cap. He fired a pair of shots from a Ruger handgun that lodged in the side of the building at 1069 Tonawanda St., police reported.
It was unclear if the building was his intended target.
The gunman fled on a mountain bike northbound on Baxter Street, police said.
Northwest District detectives are investigating the incident.
