Gronkowski, Brookstone collaborate on The Gronk Ball

National Football League star and Buffalo-area native Rob Gronkowski continues to expand his personal brand beyond the gridiron; he's already pushed out Gronk-themed KanJam, plus an extensive line of fitness equipment and apparel. (Complete with this uncomfortable promo video).

The newest release is The Gronk Ball, a product of a partnership between national concept shop Brookstone, which has a location in the Walden Galleria, and the New England Patriots tight end. The ball offers a dual appeal: football fans can play catch while listening to music, courtesy of a Bluetooth speaker inside the foam ball.

Bills fans will be pleased to know there's no Patriots logo emblazoned on the ball, which is smaller than a regulation football.

The ball, which changes colors, connects to enabled devices within 90 feet and lasts up to five hours before needing a charge, is featured in a display at the front of the Galleria store, said manager Amy Terejko, where curious passersby may toss the football around as a test.

Terejko added that the Gronk Ball made its debut Monday at the store - a few have sold already - and a bigger push continues this weekend, when Brookstone employees will don NFL team shirts. The Galleria branch is situated near J.C. Penney on the first level.
