Youngstown man pleads guilty to rape, two burglaries

Justin M. Clark of Youngstown is headed for state prison after pleading guilty Thursday to raping a 15-year-old girl and acting as a lookout in two burglaries in that village.

Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III told Clark, 20, of Applewood Drive, that he will be sentenced concurrently, meaning he will serve a total of no more than seven years for the three felonies. Clark is being held in lieu of $115,000 bail to await sentencing Oct. 5.

The rape occurred in Youngstown June 28, and the burglaries, at a garage on Lake Street and a shed on Third Street, occurred Feb. 11. The intruder, Anthony J. Barto, 22, of Lockport Street, Youngstown, is awaiting sentencing on two counts of third-degree burglary. He and Clark will split $290 in restitution.
