Registration is now open for the 9th annual Tour de Farms, a scenic bicycle tour of urban and rural farms and community gardens in Erie County on Sept. 16.
The 35-mile "Classic Tour" starts on Buffalo's West Side and stops for a light lunch at the halfway point at Bippert's Farm in Elma. The ride ends at Oles Family Farm in Alden with a celebration.
Participants may also select from the "Urban Farm Tour" route, which starts and ends in the city; the "Express Ride" directly to Oles Farm; or the half-ride, which starts at Bippert's.
The ride is hosted by GObike Buffalo and the Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP).
The tour and after-ride party costs run from $35 to $60. To register and for more info, visit tourdefarmsbuffalo.org.
