The Buffalo Beauts added five players in the 2017 National Women's Hockey League Draft Thursday night in Brooklyn.
Here's a look at the Beauts' selections, with their information courtesy of the NWHL.
First Round, 2nd overall: Kennedy Marchment
Marchment is a 5-foot-8 forward from Ontario. She scored 20 goals and assisted on 36 for St. Lawrence last season. In her college career, Marchment tallied 114 points (43 goals and 71 assists) in 108 games.
Second Round, 6th overall: Savannah Harmon
Harmon is a 5-foot-3 defender from Downers Grove, Illinois. She played college hockey at Clarkson, where she scored 11 goals and assisted on 25 last season. In her 119-game career, she tallied 22 goals and 57 assists.
Third Round, 10th overall: Brittany Howard
Howard is a 5-foot-4 forward hailing from Ontario. She scored 20 goals and assisted on 30 for Robert Morris last season and racked up 54 goals and 78 assists in her 107-game career.
Fourth Round, 14th overall: Annika Zalewski
Zalewski is a 5-foot-10 forward from New Hartford, New York who played her college hockey at Colgate. She recorded 11 goals and 13 assists last season and 30 and 31, respectively, in a 90-game college career.
Fifth Round, 18th overall: Amy Schlagel
Schlagel is a 5-foot-7 defender from Blaine, Minnesota who played collegiately for New Hampshire. She scored 13 goals and assisted on 10 last season, with 29 goals and 25 assists in 107 career games.
