PRICE IS RIGHT – A free Family Day and Resource Fair for Niagara County residents will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the New York State Power Authority, 5777 Lewiston Road, Lewiston.
Sponsored by Niagara Community College’s Liberty Partnerships Program, EPIC – Every Person Influences Children and the Buffalo Federation of Neighborhood Centers, it will offer free Chiavetta’s chicken dinners for the first 50 adults and free pizza and chips for youngsters 12 and under.
Prizes in free raffles will include art kits, school supplies, toys and sports gear. Representatives from several community agencies also will be on hand providing information and answering questions.

PICNIC PLUS – A classic car show, a fish fry and the music of Back Beat ‘64 will kick off the 80th annual Annunciation-Elma Picnic this weekend, beginning from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday on the grounds of Annunciation Church, 7580 Clinton St. at Girdle Road, Elma.
Saturday’s activities start at 1 p.m. with chowder and music by Jonny Peresan. Music continues with a live broadcast of Drive Time Polka at 3 p.m. and Hit ‘n Run at 7 p.m. A food court will be open all day and a pork chop dinner will be served at 4 p.m.
A Polka Mass featuring John Stanczyk with Rare Vintage at 11:30 a.m. Sunday will be followed by a chicken barbecue at noon, music by McPartlan’s Other Band and more polkas at 4 p.m. with Buffalo Touch. ROUGHING IT – The fifth annual K.I.A. Memorial Roadmarch, which commemorates service members from New York State who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Chestnut Ridge Park, Orchard Park. Check-in will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Individual participants or teams will complete a 10K ruck march carrying rucksacks filled with canned food items. The food items then are donated to three local community food pantries to help veterans and their families. Donation is $70 advance, $80 on Saturday. For more information and to register, visit
