Niagara's men's basketball team began its tour of Costa Rica on Monday night with a dramatic last-second 74-73 win over ARBA San Ramon , the first place team in Costa Rican Liga.
Matt Scott's three-point basket with two seconds left gave the Purple Eagles the victory although they had to make one last stop to wrap it up. That happened when Chris Barton intercepted the pass on inbounds play.
Scott ha21 points and led Niagara with six rebounds and five assists. He also had two steals. Marvin Prochet had 13 points and James Towns scored 11 with four assists for NU.
Niagara was scheduled to face San Jose on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
