A boy walking on Hastings Avenue near Eggert Road was attacked Saturday night by two unidentified teenagers, who started shooting at the youth with BB guns.
According to a report filed by the boy's mother, the two suspects yelled "Hey" to the victim while he was walking near Kay Street, and then both started shooting at him. The boy ran home, where he showed his injuries to his mother.
He was struck six times in the chest and neck, and had four pellets still stuck in his skin. He was transported to Children's Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The boy's father tried to follow the suspects, who were both wearing hoodies, but told police he lost them when they went into a yard at Easton and Hazelwood avenues.
