Smoke in cockpit reroutes Detroit-to-Orange County plane to Buffalo

A Delta Airline flight bound for Orange County was diverted to Buffalo on Saturday morning after smoke was detected in the cockpit.

The plane – which took off from Detroit – landed safely at around 10 a.m. at Buffalo Niagara International Airport with 45 people aboard, including three crew members, according to a spokeswoman for the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the smoke is still under investigation.
