Exploding tractor-trailer tire damages building

A tractor-trailer tire exploded and damaged a Holland eye care practice Tuesday night.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office said in a press release Wednesday that deputies found the trailer on fire outside Holland Eye Center, on the second block of North Main Street, around 3:15 a.m. The tire was blown out and the building had been damaged.

The driver, Henry Watson of Ontario, was issued a ticket for driving with a suspended license. Watson's license had been suspended since 1990.

Additional charges could be added pending an investigation.
