Virtuous blues musician Jonny Lang is scheduled to return to Buffalo at 7 p.m. Jan 9 in the Tralf Music Hall (622 Main St.).
The former prodigy made his debut at the young age 15, already seasoned well beyond his years, and quickly grew into a must-see live act.
During his 20 years in the music scene, he has toured with heavyweight artists like the Rolling Stones, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck and B.B. King, among many others. His latest batch of dates will be in support of his new record "Signs," set to drop on Sept. 8.
Lang's past few area performances have been in much larger theaters, so his Tralf gig will be a special opportunity to catch the blues guitarist in an intimate, up-close setting.
Tickets are $44 to $74 in advance and will go on sale at noon Aug. 11 (box office, Ticketmaster or charge by phone at 852-2860). A limited number of VIP Meet & Greet packages also will be available for $184 and includes one Platinum reserved seat, a photo with Lang, autograph and more.
