Farmers & Artisans, Ashker's in lineup for Medical Campus food options

It's a lunchtime rotation at the food kiosk inside the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus' Innovation Center – with some popular options on the list.

The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Inc. staff has been retooling the kiosk offerings after a longtime vendor left. Three spots are finalized. Two more to go.

So far, Julie Blackman's Farmers & Artisans of Snyder is there Tuesdays and Ashker's is serving lunch on Thursdays. Starting Monday, Miss Judi's Food truck will become the latest addition, preparing fresh food in the back lot and serving breakfast and lunch items from the indoor kiosk of the center, 640 Ellicott St.

The kiosk is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays. BNMC Healthy Communities Director Jonathan McNeice said the remaining two vendors for Wednesdays and Fridays should be finalized by the end of the week.

The kiosk should be fully running by September, he said.

"We're kind of doing a soft launch now and think it will drive more traffic from around campus," McNeice said.
