Burglars broke into a cellular phone store on Main Street over the weekend and cut power to the alarm system before making off with $3,756 in cash and cellphones, Buffalo police said.
The break-in at Cricket Wireless, 1379 Main, was discovered Monday morning when a worker opened the shop for business, police said.
Police said the burglars appear to have busted through a panel of a rear basement door, cut the power and disarmed the alarm system. They made off with three money bags containing the cash.
Police said the alarm company sent the owner a text and also phoned him at home to inform him of the power outage, but the owner did not go to the store and check on the report.
