Man, 27, dies following daytime drive-by shooting

A 27-year-old man shot Sunday afternoon in Buffalo has died, police said Monday morning.

The man was struck in an apparent drive-by shooting in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue, in the area of Fillmore Avenue and East Amherst Street.

Police on Sunday said the man suffered what appeared to be serious injuries in the shooting, which happened at about 1:15 p.m. Police have not released the man's name or any further details about what happened.

There were two reported incidents of gunfire, including one homicide, on Victoria last year, according to shooting data provided by Buffalo police. Broderick Robinson, 26, was fatally shot in the 100 block of Victoria on Nov. 21. No one was injured in a shooting April 12 on the first block of Victoria, according to the data.

One person was shot on the first block of Victoria on June 26, 2015, according to police data.

Police ask anyone with information to call or text the department's confidential tip line at 847-2255.
