Water customers in southern Erie and northern Chautauqua county are being asked to restrict their water use until 6 p.m. Tuesday due to a break in a water main at the Erie County Water Authority's Sturgeon Point Treatment Plant.
The request involves customers in the towns and villages of Hamburg, Orchard Park, Aurora, East Aurora, Colden, Boston, Eden, Evans, Brant, Hanover, Angola, Farnham, Silver Creek and the Seneca Indian Reservation.
The repair period is expected to last until about 6 p.m. Tuesday. During that time, customers may experience a drop in water pressure, according to the authority, which shared a video of the leak on Facebook:
