The KeyBank Foundation will give a $24 million grant to a Cleveland-based organization that will help small businesses, including at least 1,000 across upstate New York.
The four-year grant was awarded to Cleveland-based JumpStart Inc. to serve the KeyBank Business Boost and Build Program in Ohio and upstate New York. It's the largest single philanthropic commitment the KeyBank Foundation has ever made.
The foundation is not disclosing regional dollar amounts for the grant. But the program's goal is to directly serve at least 1,000 small businesses across Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Albany through technical assistance programs. The program's goals include accelerating the growth of new companies, creating jobs, and preparing students to enter the workforce after high school.
