Woman steals over $1,200 worth of flea and tick products

A woman in her 50s stole over $1,200 worth of flea and tick products from a pet store Saturday night, according to a police report.

A worker from the Elmwood Avenue PetSmart reported to police that at around 4:35 p.m., a middle-aged white woman walked in and asked about flea tablets. The woman then apparently filled a shopping cart with the flea and tick items and left the store without paying.

The goods were valued at $1,209.17, according to the police report.
