Denver man pleads guilty in drug case

A 27-year-old Denver, Colo., man pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute marijuana, and to money laundering conspiracy before U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Authorities said that between April and September 2015, Abrams conspired with Damarcus Hennings, Shaquata Hennings, Arthur Clark, Shahana Beaver and Janice Humphrey to ship, receive, and distribute more than 50 packages containing marijuana from Denver to Buffalo. They also conspired to send the cash from resulting marijuana sales back to their marijuana source of supply in Denver.

Demarcu Hennings, Shaquata Hennings, Beaver and Humphrey have been convicted. Charges are pending against Clark. Abrams' sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 24.
