FESTIVAL TIME – The 19th annual Lebanese Festival at St. John Maron Maronite Catholic Church, 2040 Wehrle Drive, Williamsville, kicks off three days of activities Friday evening with Lebanese food, music, dance and a gift shop. STREET WISE – An Operation Kids tent, with young entrepreneurs as vendors, will be one of the highlights of the Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce’s 48th annual Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on Main Street.
Other attractions include Chalk Walk Murals; a Fisher-Price Collectors Club show and sale in the Masonic Lodge, 645 Main St.; and performances by the Rince Na Tiarna Irish Dancers at 10:30 a.m., the Hoffman School of Dance at 12:30 p.m. and the Crescendo barbershop quartet at 2 p.m.

COMING CLEAN – “Chemical-Free Living” is the theme of a presentation by Wendy Schmidt of Essentially Rooted at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the weekly lecture series at Brighton Place Library, 999 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda. The South Park High School Class of 1967 will celebrate its 50th reunion Sept. 23 in Carriagers Grove, 224 Fisher Road, West Seneca. Cost is $25 and includes hot and cold catered hors d’oeuvres from 6 to 7 p.m. Terrie George and the Shadows, which include alumnus Pete Holguin, will play.
