St. Gregory the Great taps new principal from Hamburg schools

Julie Gajewski, former assistant principal for K-5 in the Hamburg Central School District, will serve as principal at St. Gregory the Great School in Amherst, the school announced.

While working in Hamburg, Gajewski developed and implemented a positive behavior program, and coordinated the Peer Helper and Student Safety Patrol.

Before Hamburg, Gajewski served as principal at the Intermediate Education Center, a school that serves grades 3-5 in the Lewiston Porter Central School District.

Gajewski attended St. Andrew's Country Day School in Kenmore and is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy.

She completed undergraduate study at John Carroll University in Cleveland. Gajewski continued her schooling at Canisius College, where she earned her master's degree in special education. At the University at Buffalo, she earned a master's degree in educational administration and leadership.
