Margret Mack Richardson of Buffalo died July 14 following a short illness. She was 101.
The former Margret Mack was born in Manning, South Carolina and attended school there.
She moved to Philadelphia and married her husband Samuel Richardson. While in Philadelphia she worked for a doctor and his wife, assisting with their two daughters.
After the passing of her husband, Margret moved to Buffalo to be near her sister. She joined the St. Luke AME Zion Church where she served as deaconess and a mother of the church.
Mrs. Richardson is predeceased by her husband Sam and five siblings. She is survived by two sisters, nieces and nephews and her life-long friend Inez Lee.
Funeral services were held July 24 at St. Lukes's AME Zion Church, 314 East Ferry St.
