ALL WET – Making a splash today is Ten Lives Club cat and rescue adoption group, which is setting up a “Dunk a Hunk, Dunk a Diva” dunking booth from 3 to 7:30 p.m. at its shelter at 3741 Lake Shore Road (Route 5), Blasdell.
For a contribution, visitors can throw at a target to send one of 15 men and women, including Ten Lives Club founder Marie Edwards, tumbling into the water.
There also will be a deejay, food and desserts for purchase, vendor tables, raffles and cats and kittens available for adoption at a bargain rate. Lawn chairs and coolers are welcome. For more information, visit or call 646-5577.

CHURCH NOTE – St. Ann’s Church and Shrine, 651 Broadway at Emslie Street, will celebrate its annual Triduum Masses outside the church at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday and Wednesday. All are welcome.

BROUGHT TO LIFE – Historian Tim Schobert will portray Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in a program entitled “Four Days After Appomattox” at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lucy Bensley Center, 23 N. Buffalo St., Springville. Schobert, a lifelong Civil War buff, began depicting Lee after friends pointed out his uncanny resemblance to the military commander.

REUNION REMINDER – The Classes of 1963, 1964 and 1965 from LaSalle High School in Niagara Falls will hold a reunion picnic from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 5 in Fairmount Park on Nash Road in Wheatfield.
