Buffalo woman, 24, arrested in connection with Main Street hit-and-run

Buffalo Police said Monday they have a woman in custody in connection with a hit-and-run that happened Saturday in a parking lot on Main Street.

Police accident investigators arrested Kaela Clark, 24, of Buffalo, and charged her with assault, leaving the scene of an injury accident and unsafe backing, according to Buffalo Police.

According to Buffalo Police, Clark struck a 46-year-old man as she backed out of a parking spot in a lot in the 2500 block of Main Street at around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Clark fled the scene, according to Buffalo Police. But authorities recovered the unoccupied vehicle a short time after the incident, Buffalo Police said.

The victim, whose name was not released by police, was listed in fair condition at Erie County Medical Center, according to authorities.

Northwest District police assisted in the investigation, including Lt. Lashandra Roach and officers Heather Murray and Jamie Varco.
