Looking out for cyclists might be a bit easier this coming Saturday — some of them could be nude.
For the third year in a row, the World Naked Bike Ride will cruise through Buffalo to bring awareness to "oil addiction and the negative impacts of car culture," according to a press release.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Tony Sisti Park on the corner of North and Franklin streets. Participants are encouraged to come "as bare as you dare," said the release, as long as they bring people-powered transportation. After a check-in at the park, bikers will be sent to the official meetup spot.
The ride, which will be about 12 miles through the city, aims to promote a vision of a "cleaner, safer, body-positive world."
"Our naked bodies will symbolize the vulnerability of cyclists on the roads," the release said.
