A 4-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car Sunday afternoon in the Town of Lockport, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
Emergency crews responded to the accident at about 12:30 p.m. at 6044 Ridge Road, according to the Niagara County Fire Wire. The child suffered serious injuries, and Mercy Flight flew her to Women & Children's Hospital in Buffalo.
Nancy Barlow, 79, of Newfane was driving the eastbound car that struck the girl, according to a police press release.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
