What roads are closed due to windstorm?

Commuters will find some roads closed this afternoon in Erie County due to the possible tornado that downed trees and power lines in Hamburg, Orchard Park and places east and south of there.

Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz issued a travel advisory for the Towns of Aurora, Hamburg and Orchard Park because of the storm, warning that there's extensive damage over a wide swath of southern Erie County.

The Town of Orchard Park Police issued a travel advisory at about 4 p.m. Thursday, stating "NO UNNECESSARY travel for the southern part of Orchard Park from Powers Rd/Ellicott Rd. South."

Roads closed include:

Route 16 Southbound,  from Blanchard Road to Partridge Road (1.7 miles) in the Town of Holland.

Route 16 Northbound, from Partridge Road to Blanchard Road (1.7 miles) in the Town of Holland.

Route 277 Southbound, from Newton Road to Gartman Road (1.5 miles) in the Town of Orchard Park.

Route 277 Northbound, from Gartman Road to Newton Road (1.5 miles) in the Town of Orchard Park.

Route 400 Southbound closed at Route 20A to Olean Road.
