A Buffalo woman has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in the death of her ex-husband on East Morris Avenue in April, according to authorities.
Police said Cuansharee M. Palmer, 37, ran over Donnell L. Sharp, 39, of Buffalo, with her vehicle. Palmer also faces a charge of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle and child endangerment, according to Buffalo City Court officials.
Palmer is Sharp's ex-wife, according to police and Sharp's family.
Buffalo police tweeted Wednesday night said they charged a woman with felony driving while intoxicated in relation to the incident but had not released any further information until late Thursday morning.
Sharp was struck at about 5:30 a.m. April 30 and died in Erie County Medical Center.
A police spokesman in April said the victim was hit on the first block of East Morris, off Main Street.
Palmer was scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment on Thursday morning.
