The menu at Broderick Park Station is basic, but you can't beat the view.
The concession stand opened July 14 in Broderick Park, located between the Black Rock Canal and the Niagara River.
Accessible by bridge at the foot of West Ferry Street, the Unity Island park and related facilities have gotten $11 million in improvements recently. They include a stage and amphitheater, and work on the Bird Island Pier, which takes pedestrians under the Peace Bridge.
Then there's the concession stand, which will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, according to a city news release. It's operated by Be Our Guest, the Rich Products subsidiary that also operates Canalside.
The menu is simple: hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and soft drinks.
