No one was injured when a train struck a car in the Chautauqua County Town of Pomfret on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.
The driver of the vehicle, Kayla Boedner of Fredonia, allegedly moved around a road-closed barrier and tried to cross the CSX Railroad tracks on Berry Road when her vehicle became stuck, according to Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies.
The 20-year-old woman got out of her car when a westbound train was approaching on the tracks about 5:20 p.m., authorities said.
The train was unable to stop and struck the vehicle, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies ticketed Boedner for failure to obey a traffic control device.
