Why was Trump so happy to meet a brutal dictator?
“It’s an honor to meet you.” These were President Trump’s initial words, along with a heartfelt smile, to Vladimir Putin when they met at the G-20 in a two-hour session where the former head of the KGB assured Trump, among a litany of other lies, that the Russians did not hack the 2016 election with the intent of helping him beat Hillary Clinton.
It was an honor to finally meet the guy who routinely murders reporters, invades sovereign countries and supports a Syrian dictator who uses poison gas on his own population.
I guess this is just one more good reason for Trump’s steadfast support from evangelical Christians, who have successfully distorted Jesus’ teachings to now include female groping, making fun of invalids, inciting violence against the free press and lying to create confusion on a daily basis.
My next guess is that all of these dictums will now have to be included on the tablets in the form of commandments numbered 11, 12, 13 and 14. There’s room for a few more commandments relating to Trump’s support of autocrats from the Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, countries all run by very powerful men who treat their constituents with disdain and jail dissenters to their authority.
How about this one for commandment 15: Thou shalt not have health insurance!
