Results of a plan to redevelop a wide swath of the Town of Tonawanda industrial corridor, labeled the Tonawanda Opportunity Area, will be shared at a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at the Philip Sheridan Building Community Room, 3200 Elmwood Ave.
The plan reflects community input received at a public meeting last year and input from stakeholders.
The redevelopment plan focuses on sites along River Road, the Niagara River waterfront and other industrial areas in the nearly 2,400 acres – a crescent shape between Military Road and Sheridan Drive, from the Huntley Power Plant to the border with the City of Tonawanda.
The results of the project will be used by the town and investors to obtain grant money for strategic redevelopment.
