95th Muny Tennis Tourney starts Wednesday

First round men's singles matches today will get play started in the 95th Buffalo Muny Tennis Championships at the Delaware Park courts. Early rounds in men's singles will continue Thursday and Friday. All Doubles, Women's Singles, Open Divison and Men's 50 and over division will begin next week.

"Super Saturday" is planned for  July 22 when tournament organizers hope to have the doubles finals and Open Singles and Doubles finals wrapped around a closing party starting at noon.

Reporting times for this week's matches:

WEDNESDAY at 5 p.m.

3.0 Men's Singles: Paul Deangelis, Bruce Kinyon, Alberto Delvalle, Douglas Blakeslee, Christopher Jurusik, Walter Mazgaj, Matthew Venhaus and Jim Whitefield

3.5 Men's Singles: Charles King, Jesse Gordon, Don Brock, Diego Silva, Jacob White, Robert Kelly, Sean Cooney, Marek Wojcikiewicz

WEDNESDAY at 6 p.m.

4.0 Men's Singles: Gaylord Messick, James Domzalski

60+ Men's Singles: David Faulring, James Cole

THURSDAY at 5 p.m.

3.0 Men's Singles: Udeme Ukutt, James Schultz, winner of Jurusik/Mazgaj, winner of Blakeslee/DelValle,

3.5 Men's Singles: Mark Stancampiano, Derek Robins, Matt Lapennas, Jason Galbraith, winner White/ Kelly, winner Brock/ Silva, winner Cooney/Wojcikiewicz

4.0 Men's Singles: Zachary Hynd, John Abromeit

THURSDAY at 6:30 p.m.

4.5 Men's Singles: Matthew Manzella, Aditya Varanusi

FRIDAY at 5:30 p.m.

4.0 Men's Singles: Wiktor Walasik, winner of White/Brock

In case of rain-outs, matches will get pushed back to the next day.

Competitors are asked to check in 15 minutes before their scheduled playing time. Players more than 15 minutes later will be subject to default.
