UP AND AT ‘EM – The BlueCross BlueShield Health Zone Cruiser, stocked with items for healthy activities, will be the special guest at this week’s EPIC (Every Person Influences Children) Storytime from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday on the Great Lawn at Canalside.
In addition to storytelling, children up to the age of 8 and parents will have a chance to challenge one another with hula hoops, kick soccer balls and play with fitness dice.

LEARNING CURVE – Putting the fun into learning about things is the goal of the fourth annual Summer Scholar Camps that begin today at the Shaw Academic Institute, 404 Main St., East Aurora. Camps continue through Aug. 31.
Morning camps from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Thursday offer kids from kindergarten through eighth grade week-long sessions titled “Rocking Rollercoasters,” “Mad Scientists Club” and “Ferocious Dinosaurs and Natural Disasters.” For youngsters in fifth to 12th grade, afternoons from noon to 3 p.m. Monday to Thursday include “Coding Camp” with computers and “Craftsman Architecture and the Roycroft Movement,” which includes a chance to make craftsman projects.

REUNION TIME – The Class of 1967 from Bishop McMahon High School will hold a 50th reunion weekend Sept. 22 and 23.
