A valuable Persian rug was stolen from Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church on the city's West Side, according to a Buffalo Police reports.
A representative from the church reported Friday that unknown thieves entered the church and stole the rug that's valued at $9,000, police reports stated.
Church officials said they didn't know when the burglary happened, but the rug had been missing since at least June 16 from a shelf in the basement of the church, the report stated.
Holy Cross parish was founded 103 years ago on the city's Lower West Side. It is located at 345 7th St.
