FUN TIMES – Trinity Baptist Church, 2930 Bailey Ave. at Collingwood Avenue, will hold a Community Fun Day and Health Awareness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be a bounce house, games, face paintings, free refreshments and giveaways. For more information, call 835-5955.

The Williamsville Train Depot Museum, 86. S. Long St., Williamsville, will host a Touch a Truck event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7 and includes a hot dog, chips, a beverage and ice cream. Proceeds benefit restoration and upkeep of the depot. The barns at Knox Farm State Park.

RARE GLIMPSE – Buildings that are seldom open to the public will be open when Explore Buffalo sponsors a self-guided walking tour of Knox Farm State Park, 437 Buffalo Road, East Aurora, from 5 to 9 p.m. next Thursday. The Friends of Knox Farm will open the main houses, the polo stables, the sheep barns, the gardener’s cottage and other historic structures.
Explore Buffalo docents will provide a narrative about each building. Although admission to the park itself is free, entry to the buildings will be restricted to ticketholders. Picnicking is welcome.
Tickets are $20 advance until noon next Thursday and $25 at the door. Advance reservations are recommended, but not required. A full tour of the buildings will take 90 minutes to two hours. BIG DAY – A huge Amish auction will be held Saturday at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds in Little Valley to benefit Aaron Hertzler of Little Valley, who faces more than $150,000 in medical bills after his six-year-old son, Amos, underwent surgery.
A pancake and sausage breakfast begins at 6 a.m., with the auction starting at 9. Items include tractors, a variety of farm equipment and shop tools, new and used furniture and many camping, sporting and household items. Quilts will be auctioned about 10:30 a.m. and a livestock sale, including several horses, begins at noon.
There also will be a sheep dog demonstration at 10 a.m., a chicken barbecue, pig roast, sandwiches, baked goods, beverages and doughnuts made fresh on site.
For monetary donations, checks may be mailed to the Hartzler Hospital Fund at Cattaraugus County Bank, Box 227, Little Valley, NY 14755 or at Bank of Cattaraugus, 24 Main St., Cattaraugus, NY 14719.
