Fanbassador, the Buffalo-bred "crowd funding" platform that allows fans to choose/vote for a musical act to play a city that was previously left off of a tour itinerary, has a special end of summer concert event for area music fans.
Taylor Made, a fan-built music festival, debuts Sept. 2 at Canalside (44 Prime St.). For Taylor Made's first go around, Travis Scott and 2 Chainz will headline the day-long event. As for the rest of the lineup, that is up to you.
“Tailor Made is a unique festival concept because it gives fans the power in booking the final lineup. Fans can create their ideal lineup by voting for their favorite artists from 2 different pools of artists we have secured for the event, with the top vote-getters in each pool being added to the festival, virtually creating a Tailor Made event,” Fanbassador CEO Chris Ring said in a statement. “By doing so, Fanbassador is appealing to the majority of the fans, creating the most demanded lineup, leading to happy fans and a successful event for everyone involved.”
Voting is up and ready to go on Fanbassador's website. Fans may choose from two pools of artists broken into national and local. The national group includes 14 acts such as Anderson.Paak, Waka Flaka Fame and Fabolous, plus a spot for a write-in vote.
The local pool has 11 acts and DJs: Chae Hawk featuring Bless, Lucky 7, Short Moscoto, Jess Classic, Lumberjack Matt, Mad Dukez, Bill Saber, Dolo Chillen, Toneyboi, Rap & Destroy and Jae-Skeese.
The top two vote-getters of each pool will be added to the festival. Voting will run through July 16.
A limited amount of early bird tickets for Taylor Made are available to voters for $45. (Fanbassador).
