The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will offer a free outdoor concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at the David L. Miller Memorial Bandshell in Niawanda Park, along the Niagara River in the City of Tonawanda.
The concert will be conducted by Stefan Sanders, who leads performances on the classics, pops, and education and family concerts. The orchestra will perform music from Star Wars movies, as well as "Singin' in the Rain," among others. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair seating to the outdoor concert.
The Niawanda Park concert is part of the orchestra's "Free Concert in the Parks" series, which allows the orchestra to break away from its more traditional concert halls and bring music to the parks.
This is the third year that the free community concert has been offered in Niawanda Park.
