Unhappy patrons cause ruckus at restaurant

Three women in their early 20s fled Neapolis Family Restaurant, 1389 Bailey Ave., after assaulting two people midday Sunday, according to a police report.

Buffalo police said the women entered the restaurant to complain about their order. One of them, identified as Fatima Singletary, started yelling at an employee. The employee asked Singletary to leave the restaurant. The women responded by throwing items, damaging a credit card reader valued at $400 and tossing a container of syrup at the back of the employee's head, police said.

A 73-year-old man stepped in to help the employee. One of the unnamed suspects responded by spitting in his face and shoving him away, police said.

The women fled the scene in a tan 2001 Buick LeSabre, police said.
