Thieves break into six vehicles outside Niagara Falls hotels

Thieves broke into six vehicles into between Wednesday night and Thursday morning outside two hotels in downtown Niagara Falls, according to city police reports.

Four of the vehicles were parked outside the Howard Johnson, 454 Main St., and two were outside the Days Inn, 443 Main St., according to the reports.

Most are believed to have happened between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. Entry was gained by smashing vehicle windows.

Victims reported various items inside the vehicles were stolen, including a GPS device, a bag of souvenirs, a charger, a wallet and loose change.
