DOG STARS – Lancaster Unleashed Inc., which wants to create a community dog park, will co-sponsor the second annual Patriotic Paws Parade at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the center of the village. Dogs will be dressed in patriotic garb and compete for prizes as Most Patriotic and for Pet and Owner Look-A-Likes. All dogs must be leashed, licensed and have proof of a current rabies vaccination.
Advance registration for $5, payable through PayPal, is available through noon today at Registration is $7 Sunday, beginning at 11 a.m. at Purely Pets, 5 W. Main St., Lancaster. Proceeds go toward the dog park. For more info, call Karen Penziul at 225-2745.

BIG WHEELS – Dozens of vehicles, including vintage trucks from local collectors, will be on display from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday as the Western New York Railway Historical Society and West Herr Automotive Group holds a Touch A Truck event at the Orchard Park Train Depot next to the library at the end of South Lincoln Avenue.
There also will be food trucks, door prizes provided by the Bills and the Sabres, a large outdoor model train layout and tours of the depot. Admission is $5 and benefits depot restoration. Rain date is July 9. For info, call 662-7002 or visit the Railway Historical Society’s Facebook page.
