It's an understatement to say that Buffalo Sabres fans were excited at the news that Jason Pominville is returning to the team.
So much so that fans recreated a 2007 stunt, changing the "Welcome to Buffalo" sign on the Kensington Expressway to say "Welcome to Pominville."
Jason Pominville played for the Buffalo Sabres from 2003-04 through the 2012-13 season before being traded to Minnesota.
Sabres announcer Rick Jeanneret coined the famous phrase "Welcome to Pominville, population ... " changing the population number every time Pominville scored a goal.
