Two Buffalo men have been charged with burglarizing a gas station in the Town of Tonawanda on Thursday morning, police said Friday.
Town of Tonawanda police responded to a burglary alarm at the Valero gas station at 957 Brighton Road at about 2 a.m. The two men were inside the store when police arrived and ran. Officers caught them after a chase, police said.
Steven Cruz Figueroa, 24, was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass, possession of burglary tools, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal mischief, police said. Milton Figueroa, 22, was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.
The pair stole cash and cigarettes, police said. They are due in Tonawanda Town Court next week.
