It's still unclear whether a proposed land swap between Natale Development and Williamsville will go forward.
But if it does, it won't be enacted until at least early 2018, village officials said.
Two options have been presented to the Village Board.
"Option A" is a proposal for up to 100 apartments and 30 townhomes on the former Darling Construction site, which Natale purchased.
In "Option B," Williamsville and Natale would trade 2.1-acre parcels of land with each other, providing the developer with a more desirable plot of land on which to build the apartments and letting the village extend South Long Street Park south to a former railroad line that now serves as a bike path.
Response to the swap proposal was mixed, as it has been the last several months. But Trustee Deb Rogers told residents any swap would have to be approved by the State Legislature early next year.
