After being closed for nearly two months, the ALDI store on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda has reopened for business.
The store had been closed for remodeling since May 1. The $1.85 million overhaul was aimed at giving the store a more modern, convenient design.
Improvements include more open ceilings and natural lighting as well as beefed-up produce, dairy and bakery sections. The remodel incorporated environmentally friendly components, including recycled building materials, energy-saving refrigeration and LED lighting.
Monday was the store's first day back. It's located at 1820 Sheridan Drive.
