Niagara Falls man to serve 2 years in prison for sex tape with 14-year-old

A Niagara Falls man who videotaped a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl on his cellphone was sentenced Monday to two years in state prison, followed by seven years of post-release supervision.

Teron D. Moore, 31, of Ninth Street, had pleaded guilty before Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal sexual act.

The tape, made May 31, 2016, was discovered by Moore's girlfriend, who ended up with Moore's phone after he was arrested last June on an unrelated assault charge.

According to prosecutors, County Jail officers recorded two phone calls Moore made from the jail to the 14-year-old, urging her to get rid of the phone.
