Driving without lights ensnares repeat DWI offender

A City of Tonawanda man who was seen driving with no lights on at 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Main Street in the city faces felony charges of driving while intoxicated and driving without a license, which police said had been revoked due to a previous DWI conviction.

Trevor J. Mullins, 38, of Patton Road, had his license revoked after he was convicted of DWI in Cheektowaga in 2010, police said. He had also been convicted of driving while impaired in Clarence in 2007.

After police stopped him, they said Mullins refused to take any test to measure the amount of alcohol in his system. He was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving without headlights.

He was held on $500 bail.
