Three men who live in the Hamlin Park neighborhood returned home to find a man inside their apartment with cologne and two watches belonging to one of them stuffed in his pockets, police said.
The three confronted and held Lee Walker, 47, of no permanent address, until police arrived.
The men told police that Walker might have entered through an unlocked front door.
Police found two bottles of cologne, valued at $150, an Apple watch and a second watch, each valued at $50o, in Walker's pockets. They also found a pocket knife and a glass pipe containing residue of crack cocaine, police said.
Walker was charged with first-degree burglary, a Class B felony; fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both Class A misdemeanors.
