A Lockport woman who is accused of selling opioids has been indicted on drug charges by a federal grand jury, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Colette Arne, 66, was charged Thursday with distribution of oxymorphone and maintaining a drug-involved premises. Arne faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine if convicted.
According to the indictment, on Nov. 5, 2013, and Jan. 6, 2014, Arne sold oxymorphone to a confidential source working with law enforcement officers. After the second sale, Arne’s Applewood Drive residence was searched by officers with her consent. During the search, police recovered $24,200 in cash and empty prescription pill bottles. Authorities said the prescriptions were issued to Arne and her now-deceased husband.
Arne was arraigned Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and released.
