GREAT DEBATE – Fillmore Council Member David A. Franczyk and North Council Member Joseph Golombek Jr. will square off Wednesday evening in “Buffalo vs. Black Rock,” a historical debate on where to put the western terminus of the Erie Canal. Sponsored by the Black Rock Historical Society, it begins at 6 p.m. in the Buffalo History Museum, Nottingham Court at Elmwood Avenue.
Franczyk will portray Buffalo civic leader Samuel Wilkeson, while Golombek will take the role of Black Rock developer Gen. Peter B. Porter. Moderator will be City Comptroller Mark J.F. Schroeder, as Gov. DeWitt Clinton. Introducing them will be County Historian Douglas Kohler. Music will be provided by Rush the Growler.

Former Mrs. America Lisa Christie sings with Mark Mazur & the Little Big Band

TAP YOUR FEET – Mark Mazur & the Little Big Band play for listening and dancing from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, rain or shine, on the grounds of Blocher Homes, 135 Evans St., Williamsville.
