NKOTB, Abdul and Boyz II Men make a 'Total Package'

There's something about Buffalo and those New Kids on the Block. A giant love fest forms every time NKOTB -   the hip moniker the '80s pop band now goes by - packs our downtown arena for recent shows including 2013 and 2015.

That 2013 concert was on the “Package Tour” and included an opening set by Boyz II Men (a group now making medical side effects sound smooth in new Geico commercials). On this current tour, upgraded to the “Total Package Tour,” NKOTB and the Boyz are back and this time they’re bringing a friend: Paula Abdul. Yes, the former “American Idol” judge and Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader is touring for the first time in 25 years and is sure to add her own high-energy dancing to an already energetic night as she sings her hit songs like “Straight Up” and “Forever Your Girl.”

The Total Package Tour: Show starts at 7:30 p.m. June 25. Tickets are $29.95 to $199.95 (livenation.com, tickets.com).
